And we're back!!

It's been a while but it wasn't our fault.....The Chinese people decided to tease us for our first few days in the country by letting us use any website that we could possibly want or need to use, then they took it all away!

But now we're in civilisation again and we can regail u all with our journey so far.....Well actually we've mainly been in the pub......

But with these two as barmen, could u blame us really :D

Don't worry, we did manage to do stuff, we climed for ages and ages and ages up the Great Wall of China, about 1/3 of the way down we stopped counting the steps, we were at 1800.....

After that we moved onto bigger and better things, we trekked for 3 days in the Tiger Leaping Gorge, yes that right, 3 whole days of walking, with tigers leaping all around you! well actually there were no tigers but plenty of landslides and waterfalls to walk through

As for the food, well it leaves a lot to be desired....fried dog, bamboo rat, chicken feet......although the chicken feet were pretty tasty now that I think about it.

as for Hong Kong, well that take a whole other battery recharge,.......

From Russia with Love

Well here we are in Russia, we haven't been gassed yet, but we've only been on a train for one night. I kinda forgot to put in photos of St Petersburg but it isn't quite as nice as Moscow anyhoo. So far the Russians are MEAN. But we're plodding along nicely, I think Russians might have a problem with pancakes....they eat them ALL THE TIME!!! I never want to see one EVER AGAIN! and bye the way - I HAVEN'T HAD COFFEE IN A WEEK....


Sorry but I can't figure out how to rotate the pictures just yet, it was a challenge just to get them up at all! Believe it or not Russia is a strange place....for example, this is a picture of a shopping centre, u know, where you get ur bread and milk.....It used to be a palace - only the best will do...

Red Square with St Basils in the background and Lenin's Mausoleum all covered up by some big banner thingy for V day, we couldn't go into the centre cause there was a very stern looking policeman blocking our way, I had already been shouted at and whistled at (not in a good way) by a scary looking soldier earlier on so I think that was enough scaryness for one day
This is some of the lads in our group. They decided that it might be fun to dunk their heads in a waterfall, apparently near freezing weather just isn't cold enough for them...

Well folks this is our last posh drink for a while. It's time to prepare ourselves for the local shmalcoholic brews that the natives will administer upon us. Ahem..It's all research you understand!

We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of...Russia, Mongolia, China, India...etc etc! Yes folks Ambasador Beer, I mean Bear said it best last Sat night after 5 rounds of our beer matt drinking game "screw y'all suckers" in the nicest possible way! She recovered well, after we cleaned up her dribble and put her to bed.

We did it!, we booked our tickets and are waiting for our visas to come through, in fact our passports should have been back by now.....I'm sure the Russians will let us in....Won't they?
